Why Did GAIL Shares Fall Despite Strong Results?

Although GAIL reported impressive earnings growth, investors appeared to book profits after the results announcement.

Market participants are also closely watching:

Margin sustainability

Global energy price trends

Petrochemical segment weakness

Future earnings outlook

Such factors often influence stock performance even after strong quarterly numbers.

Motilal Oswal Remains Bullish

Brokerage firm Motilal Oswal continues to maintain a 'Buy' recommendation on GAIL.

Brokerage View

Rating: Buy

Target Price: ₹206

Based on the current trading price of around ₹172.61, the brokerage sees an upside potential of more than 19% if the stock reaches its target.

What Should Investors Watch?

Going forward, investors will monitor:

Natural gas demand in India

Expansion of city gas distribution

Recovery in petrochemical earnings

Government energy policies

Global LNG and crude oil prices

These factors are expected to play a key role in GAIL's future financial performance.
