IMD senior scientist RK Jenamani said on Thursday that the monsoon has covered parts of the south and the central Arabian Sea, entire Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu between May 31 and June 7. It has engulfed the entire Northeast. Jenamani said there is no delay in the progress of the monsoon. It is likely to reach Maharashtra in the next two days and reach Mumbai in the next two days.
