Priyanka accused of insult

During this, while talking to news agency ANI, Priyanka Gandhi said, 'The way they insulted Baba Saheb in Parliament. Look at their x handle this morning, they messed with Baba Saheb's picture. This is the same thinking that cuts the hands and feet of Baba Saheb's statues. Who will trust them.'

Priyanka said, 'They say that they do not want to end reservation, do not want to change the Constitution. But what are they doing? They do not have a sense of respect. They are the makers of the Constitution, you are saying this about them.'

How did the whole controversy start?

In fact, during his address in the Rajya Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah had accused the Congress of insulting Dr. Ambedkar. A clip of Shah's address was shared on social media.

This created a lot of uproar. Mallikarjun Kharge even demanded PM Modi to sack Amit Shah. Congress alleged that Amit Shah had insulted Ambedkar.

Shah had clarified

After this, Amit Shah gave clarification on these allegations by holding a press conference on Wednesday. Shah said that his statement has been distorted and Congress should release his full statement.

Shah had said, 'Congress distorted my statement and presented a very small part to the public and tried to spread confusion. It is an old habit of Congress to distort facts and spread lies in the society.'
