Joginder bowled the last over in the final match played against Pakistan and defended 13 runs. However, Joginder's career did not last long and he was soon out of the team. Currently, Joginder is a DSP with the Haryana Police.

Joginder played his last match for India on 24 January in the T20 World Cup final. After this, he did not return to the team. He played a total of 77 matches in first class and took 297 wickets. He has taken 115 wickets in List-A. He has taken 61 wickets in T20.
