
New Delhi, March 3 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate a week-long 'Festival of Innovations' at Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Saturday.
The festival is being organised by the president's secretariat in collaboration with the National Innovation Foundation, a release said.
On the first day of the festival, Mukherjee will give away national biennial awards for grassroots innovations.
The president will also interact with a new batch of innovation scholars in-residence and writers in-residence, it said.
To coincide with the festival, in-residence programmes for innovation scholars and writers will also be organised from March 7 to 21.
Other events, which are part of the festival include a global round table on inclusive innovation which aims at developing a universal, open, reciprocal and responsive innovation platform through sharing of strategies used by different countries.
