Agra, Jan 17 (IANS) The controversial Hindutva leader, Nand Kishore Balimiki, who was arrested Dec 16 for his alleged role in religious conversion in Agra is likely to be released Saturday after he secured bail Friday.

The district judge heard his bail application in the district jail, as lawyers in Agra are on strike, demanding Allahabad a high court bench in the city.

The Hindutva leader, who was allegedly involved in the "Ghar Vaapsi" programme of the Bajrang Dal and other Hindu outfits, claimed he had no role in the exercise, and that there were neither witnesses nor was he arrested from the venue of the conversion ceremony.
