New Tourism Policy on anvil: President

New Delhi, Feb 23 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee Monday said that there was enormous potential in the tourism sector and the government will bring out a new tourism policy.

"A new tourism policy is on the anvil," Mukherjee said in his address to the members of two houses of parliament at the start of the budget session.

He said that tourist visa on arrival facility has been expanded to 44 countries.

He said infrastructure facilities were being improved at tourist destinations and dedicated trains had been started for some pilgrimage destinations.
