World Population Day 2023: A family welfare promotion ceremony will be held in every district of Rajasthan

On Tuesday, on the occasion of World Population Day, family welfare promotion honor ceremonies will be organized across the state. The state-level function will be held at Rajasthan International Center Auditorium located in Jhalana Institutional Area at 10 am.

 

State Director of Family Welfare Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur said this year's theme is "We will take a resolution in the festival of freedom, we will make family planning a substitute for happiness". Dr. Mathur said that medical institutions and personnel doing excellent work under family welfare services and achieving the goals of family welfare would be awarded at the block level, district level, and state level under the Family Welfare Promotion Scheme.

 

The population stabilization fortnight will run from July 11 to 24.

He informed that on the occasion of World Population Day, the Population Mobilization fortnight will be organized by the Medical Department from June 27 to July 10. In this, health workers contact eligible couples for family planning services. By organizing Population Stabilization Fortnight from July 11 to July 24, contraceptive means of family planning will be made available free of cost to eligible couples as per their need. On this occasion, thinking sessions will be organized across the state in detail about increasing collective efforts to control the growing population.
