Vietnam has signed an agreement on logistics support for the first time with any country. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and his Vietnamese counterpart General Phan Van Giang have signed this logistics agreement. The Defense Ministry said that India and Vietnam continue to have the "most trustworthy relationship in contemporary times with wide convergence of interests and common concerns".

Rajnath Singh said that we have had extensive discussions on effective and practical initiatives to take forward bilateral defense ties and regional and global issues. He further said that after deliberations, we signed a 'Joint Vision Statement on India-Vietnam Defense Partnership towards 2030' which will significantly enhance the scope and scale of our defense cooperation.
India to finalize defense line of credit soon
