Another suspected patient with symptoms of monkeypox has been admitted to Loknayak Hospital in the capital of Delhi on Tuesday. Symptoms of fever and skin rash have been found in the patient admitted to the hospital emergency. However, health department officials have not confirmed this.
After a suspected patient of another monkeypox was found in Ghaziabad on Tuesday, his sample has been sent to Pune for examination. The 28-year-old youth is a resident of Arthla and works in a private company in the Sahibabad area. The young man came to the OPD of MMG Hospital for treatment. On getting the symptoms, the doctor treating him in the OPD informed the matter to the CMO and the surveillance officer.
After this, the sample of the youth was sent to Pune for examination. However, at present, the young man is at his home. At the same time, monkeypox has been confirmed in Delhi in a young man living in Trans Hindon, but health department officials have denied having information about it.
District Surveillance Officer RK Gupta said that after taking the sample of the patient, the investigation has been sent to Pune. He told that a person from Arthla reached the OPD. Seeing the rash on the patient's body, the doctors immediately wrote a consultation, considering it monkeypox. The department has sent the sample to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) Pune for investigation.
Dr. RP Singh, the Senior Physician of MMG Hospital, says that this disease is caused by a virus named Monkeypox. Monkeypox is part of the orthopoxvirus family. In this too, there are rashes on the body like smallpox. The variola virus that spreads smallpox is also part of the orthodox family. The symptoms of monkeypox are not as severe as those of smallpox, but mild. It is fatal in very few cases. It has nothing to do with smallpox.
