New Delhi. Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc in India. Every day the number of corona patients is increasing by 15 thousand on an average. In the last 24 hours, a record of 15 thousand 968 new cases of coronavirus was reported. 465 people have also died in one day. In such a situation, what happened so suddenly that so many cases of corona have started coming up. The major reason for the increase in the Corona case is being considered to be the speed of testing. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a record of 2.15 lakh tests have been done in the country in the last 24 hours. There have been a total of 1000 labs to test the coronavirus in India. There are now 730 government and 270 private labs in the country.
According to ICMR, 2,15,195 tests were conducted in the country in the last 24 hours. This includes RT-PCR, antigen test, all types of tests. Earlier, on June 23, when 1,87,223 people were investigated in corona, 14933 new cases were reported. On June 21, 1,90,730 people were tested across the country, after which more than 15 thousand new cases came. On June 20, a total of 1 lakh 89 thousand 869 people were tested.
India is at number four in the country in the matter of testing
According to ICMR, 73 lakh 52 thousand 911 tests of the Coronavirus have been done in the country so far. India is the fourth largest country in the world in terms of testing. Till now, more tests have been conducted in India than in the US, Russia, and the UK. However, in terms of testing on a per million basis, India is lagging far behind. The next goal of ICMR is to do 3 lakh tests every day.
How many cases of corona in the country?
According to the Health Ministry's update so far, the number of corona infected in the country has now increased to 4 lakh 56 thousand 183. Corona currently has one lakh 83 thousand 22 active cases. So far, 14 thousand 476 people have lost their lives due to infection with this virus, while 2 lakh 58 thousand 684 people have recovered.
These are the most affected states of Corona
Maharashtra is the most affected state in Corona. On Tuesday, 3,214 new patients have been found here. With this, the total number of infected in the state has increased to one lakh 39 thousand 10. Delhi is the number after Maharashtra. The highest corona report of 3947 people came positive in a single day in Delhi. So far, more than 66 thousand infected people have been found in the capital.
Tamil Nadu ranks third in terms of being affected by the Coronavirus, where the total number of infected has now reached 64,603. So far 833 people have died due to this virus. Gujarat ranks fourth in terms of the number of infected Kovid-19, but in terms of the number of dead, it is third after Maharashtra and Delhi. So far 28,371 people have been infected with the virus in Gujarat and 1710 people have died.
