Odisha Train Accident: Shubhendu Adhikari said – If the accident happened in Odisha, why was Mamta Banerjee nervous about the CBI investigation?

275 people have died in the train accident in Balasore, Odisha. Whereas, 1100 people were injured. Regarding this train accident, West Bengal BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari said that the accident happened in another state, so why is Mamta Banerjee afraid of a CBI investigation? According to a railway official, so far there are about 101 dead bodies, which have not been identified yet.

 

Shubhendu Adhikari accused Mamta Banerjee

West Bengal BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari has targeted Mamta Banerjee over the incident. He said that the incident is a conspiracy of TMC. Why is Mamta Banerjee scared of the CBI investigation? The accident happened in another state, so why is Mamta Banerjee scared of the investigation? He alleged that the TMC with the help of the police tapped the phones of two railway officials. How did he know about the conversation between the two officers? How the conversation got leaked is also a matter of investigation. This should also be probed during the CBI probe, otherwise, I will go to court.

 

900 people were discharged

Divisional Railway Manager of East-Central Railway, Rinkesh Roy told that about 1100 people were injured in the Balasore accident. Out of these 900 people have been discharged after treatment. But still around 200 people are admitted to different hospitals in Odisha, where their treatment is going on. Roy says that out of 275 dead, there are still 101 bodies that have not been identified yet. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation commissioner Vijay Amrit Kulange said that 193 bodies were kept in Bhubaneswar. Of these, 80 bodies have been identified. We have handed over 55 bodies to their relatives. The helpline number 1929 issued by the corporation has received more than 200 calls. As the dead bodies are being identified, we are handing them over to their relatives.

 

Updates till now in Balasore accident

A train accident took place in the Bahanaga market of Balasore, Odisha on Friday. Railways has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased, Rs 2 lakh to the seriously injured, and Rs 50,000 to the other injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself had reached Odisha to take stock of the situation. The PM spoke to the relatives of the injured and the deceased. He said that the matter will be investigated. Action will be taken against the culprits after the investigation. They will not be spared. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was also present in Odisha. On the demand for resignation by the opposition, he had said I am not going anywhere, I am here. Don't do politics.
