New Delhi. The second wave of Kovid-19, a pandemic spread due to Coronavirus infection in the country, has caused panic. Demand for Remdesivir has increased significantly in most parts of the country, including the most infected state of Maharashtra. Because of this, where the government has recently banned the export of Remdesivir, now it has decided to increase the production and supply of Remdesivir injection in the country and reduce its price.
The relatives of hospitalized patients protested outside the District Collector Office in Pune for not receiving Remdesivir injection. "The hospital has said that we will have to bring the injections," said a woman looking for injections for her family hospitalized for 3 days. Additional District Collector of Pune, Vijay Deshmukh said on Thursday, 'We have a demand of around 45,000 injections, we are distributing the stock of injections equally. Things will get better in four to five days. According to the Kovid protocol, only serious patients have to be given Remdesivir, according to the protocol there is more demand. '
A consignment of 9,264 Remdesivir Injection arrived at Madhya Pradesh's Indore Airport today which will be sent to various cities including Bhopal, Ratlam, Khandwa, and Gwalior. Out of this, 42 boxes will be sent to Bhopal, 39 Jabalpur, 19 Gwalior, 18 Rewa. Apart from this, 75 boxes will be kept in Indore which is the most infected district of the state. Some stock of injections will also be sent to Sagar, Ratlam, and Khandwa.
According to the Union Health Ministry, 2,00,739 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 1038 infected people died. After this, the total number of infected people in the country so far has gone up to 1,40,74,564 and the death toll has gone up to 1,73,123. At present, the total number of active cases in the country is 14,71,877 and the total number of discharged cases is 1,24,29,564. A total of 11,44,93,238 people have been vaccinated with the coronavirus in the country.
