India's defense forces have carried out precision strikes on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) under 'Operation Sindoor'. These attacks aimed to take revenge for the Pahalgam terror attack. After this, the central government has called an all-party meeting on Thursday, May 8, to inform all the political parties. This meeting will be held at 11 am in the Library Building of Parliament House.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju gave information.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said in a post on social media platform X, 'The government has called a meeting of all-party leaders in Committee Room G-074 of Parliament Library Building on May 8, 2025, at 11 am.'

Congress held an emergency meeting of the Working Committee.

Earlier, the Congress party had also called a meeting of its senior leaders. Regarding which Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that this meeting was called to discuss the current security situation. After this, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a press conference and saluted the bravery of the army for 'Operation Sindoor' and said that we stand with the government against terrorism.

Opposition had supported earlier too.

After the Pahalgam terror attack, the government had earlier called an all-party meeting. At that time, all the opposition parties had fully supported the government's steps and demanded strict action against the attackers.

The Foreign Secretary said the attack was extremely barbaric.

Giving information about Operation Sindoor, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that the terrorist attack in Pahalgam was extremely brutal. In this, most of the victims were shot in the head from close range and were killed in front of their families. He said, 'The purpose of this attack was to spoil the normal situation returning to Kashmir.'

There was a possibility of more attacks, so action was necessary.

The Foreign Secretary said that Indian intelligence agencies had concrete information that more attacks could be carried out on India. That is why India took this action in self-defense. He said our attacks were limited, balanced, and responsible. Our aim was only to destroy the hideouts of the terrorists.

Wing Commander gave information about Operation Sindoor.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said that a total of nine terrorist hideouts were targeted and successfully destroyed under Operation Sindoor. He said, 'We selected such places so that no civilian or their structure are harmed.'

Videos shown as evidence of the attack
