Pakistan: Armed attackers attack army camps, 15 militants and four soldiers killed in encounter

In Pakistan's restive Balochistan province, some armed assailants attacked two army camps. After this, at least 15 militants and a soldier were killed in the exchange of fire between the two sides. Confirming the incident on Thursday, a senior Pakistani minister termed it as a breakthrough against terrorism.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), which is banned in Pakistan, has claimed responsibility for the attacks in Panjgur and Naushki districts on Wednesday. In Panjgur, the attackers tried to enter the camps of the security forces at two different places. On the other hand, in Naushki, he tried to infiltrate the Frontier Corps (FC) post. It was during this period that a war broke out between the army and the BLA militants.

PM Imran Khan and Home Minister Sheikh Rashid congratulated

Pakistan's Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said in a video that nine terrorists and four soldiers were killed in Naushki, while six terrorists were killed in Panjgur. He said the encounter was still going on in Panjgur and four to five people were surrounded by the army. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan also took to Twitter on Thursday to congratulate the security forces for averting these attacks on military camps in Balochistan.

On the other hand, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement, "Both the attacks were given a befitting reply and the security forces inflicted major damage on the terrorists." took responsibility for the attacks.

BLA is continuously attacking the Pakistani army

The separatist organization has recently increased attacks on security forces. Last week, the BLA attacked a security forces check post in the Kech district of Balochistan and killed 10 soldiers. Apart from this, on January 28, three soldiers of Pak security forces were killed in a bomb blast in Dera Bugti. Significantly, the BLA has been against the plan of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor being run by China-Pakistan and is engaged in carrying out attacks on the Pakistani army.
