Sreerampore (West Bengal), April 27 (IANS) Taking a dig at Manmohan Singh for his comments that there was no Modi wave, Narendra Modi Sunday said that whatever the prime minister has seen over the last 10 years was through the eyes of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.
"The prime minister told media persons in Guwahati that he does not see a Modi wave. I ask the prime minister, ok, you don't see a wave. But during the 10 years you were in power, did you see the rising prices, unemployment and corruption?" the BJP prime ministerial candidate said at an election rally here in Hooghly district.
"For 10 years as prime minister, you didn't see anything. Then how will you see this wave? Pradhan mantriji, this is not your fault because you don't see anything. You see things through the eyes of the mother-son (Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and party vice president Rahul Gandhi)."
After casting his ballot in the Lok Sabha polls in Guwahati Thursday, Manmohan Singh had said there was no wave sweeping the country in favour of Modi and it was "only a creation of the media".
