The special court of NIA and ATS on Thursday awarded death sentence to terrorists Atif Muzaffar and Mohammad Faisal, who killed retired principal Ramesh Babu Shukla after seeing Tilak on his forehead and Kalava in his hand in Kanpur.

Prosecutor officers MK Singh, Kamal Kishore Sharma and Brajesh Kumar Yadav, while presenting the criminal history of the accused, said that these terrorists, along with their other associates, also tried to bomb the Prime Minister's program during the Dussehra rally in the year 2016. Was.

 

Punishment is necessary to maintain public trust

On Thursday, while giving the verdict through virtual medium, the court said that to maintain public trust, it is justified to punish the culprits with appropriate punishment. Convicts Atif Muzaffar and Mohammad Faisal are sentenced to death penalty under Section 302 read with Section 34.

 

Fact of being associated with ISIS

It is noteworthy that both the terrorists had shot dead Ramesh Babu Shukla on October 24, 2016. During the investigation by ATS, two accused were arrested from Bhopal and Kanpur. Then the fact came to light that accused Atif Muzaffar and Mohd. Faisal is associated with the banned terrorist organization Islamic State. They murdered teacher Ramesh Babu Shukla by ascertaining his identity as a Hindu by the red and yellow thread (Kalava) tied on his hand and the tilak applied on his forehead.

 

Attacked with the intention of killing infidels

The investigation also found that the accused took bayt (oath) in the name of Islamic State's Caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi with the intention of creating terror among the people of India and threatening national security and killing infidels.

 

Another report was lodged against both of them in the passenger train blast case on March 7, 2017, at the GRP police station in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. In the Ujjain case, both have already been sentenced to death.

 

Teacher was murdered in lone wolf attack style

Special Public Prosecutor Kaushal Kishore Sharma said that testimony of 29 people was taken in the case. There were 15 Muslim witnesses in this. Ramesh Babu Shukla was murdered in lone wolf attack style. Lone wolf attack is a style of working of terrorists, in which terrorists ranging from one to maximum four in number suddenly attack and kill people.
