New Delhi, Jan 5 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday wished senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi on his birthday, saying his "scholarly zeal and contribution to public life are immense".

"Birthday greetings to Murli Manohar Joshi. His scholarly zeal and contribution to public life are immense. I wish him a long and healthy life," Modi said in a tweet.

Joshi, Lok Sabha member and former president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, was born Jan 5, 1934.
