These projects worth over Rs 500 crore will bring new opportunities for skilling and employment in the region. During the program, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of more than 2950 Amrit Sarovar projects. These Amrit Sarovar will be developed in the state at a cumulative cost of about Rs 1150 crore.
The Prime Minister's unwavering commitment to peace and development of the region was the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoS) with six Karbi extremist organizations by the Government of India and the Government of Assam, the PMO said in a statement. The MoU has ushered in a new era of peace in the Northeast. The Prime Minister's address at the 'Shanti, Ekta and Vikas Rally' will boost peace initiatives across the region.
