PM Modi Assam Visit: PM Modi will visit Assam today, will give seven cancer hospitals to the countrymen

PM Narendra Modi will visit Assam today. PM will gift many projects. Modi will address a 'peace, unity and development rally' at Diphu in Karbi Anglong district at 11 am. According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), during the program, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for various projects in the field of education.

 

These projects will give gifts

 

Modi will also lay the foundation stone of Veterinary College (Diphu) at Diphu, Degree College in West Karbi Anglong, and Agricultural College at Kolonga, West Karbi Anglong. These projects worth over Rs 500 crore will bring new opportunities for skilling and employment in the region. During the program, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of more than 2950 Amrit Sarovar projects. These Amrit Sarovar will be developed in the state at a cumulative cost of about Rs 1150 crore.

 

The Prime Minister's unwavering commitment to peace and development of the region was the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoS) with six Karbi extremist organizations by the Government of India and the Government of Assam, the PMO said in a statement. The MoU has ushered in a new era of peace in the Northeast. The Prime Minister's address at the 'Shanti, Ekta and Vikas Rally' will boost peace initiatives across the region.

The Prime Minister will reach Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh at around 01:45 pm. Modi will dedicate Dibrugarh Cancer Hospital to the countrymen. Later at around 3 pm, he will also take part in a public function at Khanikar Maidan in Dibrugarh. Modi will dedicate 6 more cancer hospitals here to the nation. In this way, the PM will lay the foundation stone for seven new cancer hospitals today.
