Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will address the Naval Commanders' Conference today. According to the Defense Ministry, Singh will address the program at 10 am. The conference serves as a forum for naval commanders to discuss important maritime matters at the military-strategic level as well as interact with senior government officials through an institutional forum. Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane and Indian Air Force Marshal Vivek Ram Choudhary will also address the event. Navy chief to consider plans

 

The Chief of Naval Staff, along with other Naval Commanders, will review the major operational, material, logistics, human resource development, training, and administrative activities undertaken by the Indian Navy in the last six months and consider plans for critical operations. The conference will also focus on the dynamics of the geostrategic situation in the backdrop of the security scenarios of the neighboring countries as well as emerging challenges due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

 

The activities of the Chinese Navy will also be discussed

 

In this meeting, there may be special discussions by the commanders on the increasing activities of the Chinese Navy in the Indian Ocean as well as its strength in the Indo-Pacific region. The army can also raise the standoff on the LoC with China in this meeting.

 

Discussions will be held on increasing combat capability

 

It should be mentioned that in the meeting, along with talks on the current security situation, discussions can also be held to increase the combat capability of the Navy. Making the army's operations effective and increasing the efficiency will also be discussed in detail. At the same time, the top commanders will review in detail the performance of sensors and weapons, preparedness of the naval platform, projects, and many other topics.
