In another post, the SP chief termed the encounter as fake and said that the weakest people consider the encounter as their power which is injustice. Here, Anuj's father Dharmaraj targeted the SP chief. He said that Akhilesh's wish was fulfilled by Thakur's death in the encounter.

Let me tell you that in the same case, many leaders including Akhilesh and Rahul Gandhi had questioned the encounter and said to target a particular caste.

Anuj was caught in selling silver, traders gave clues to STF

Anuj Pratap Singh was trying to sell four kilos of silver in Shuklaganj of Unnao. He was about to take shelter in another state for the amount received from this. The bullion businessman was suspicious due to the new silver with him and refused to buy.

According to sources, a businessman, frightened by the Sultanpur incident, immediately informed his colleagues of the Business Board about the silver being new and his activities being suspected, after which it was shared with the STF.

Nine in jail including the mastermind

Vipin Singh of Amethi, the mastermind of the dacoity, surrendered in the second case in Rae Bareli court on August 29 and went to jail. Sachin Singh, Pushpendra Singh, and Tribhuvan of Amethi were arrested on September 3 in a police encounter. The robbery was revealed on 11 September. Vinay Shukla, Durgesh Singh, Vivek Singh and Arvind Yadav were sent to jail. Ajay Yadav was arrested in an encounter on 20 September. During this period, two and a half kilograms of gold and 30 kg of silver were recovered from the dacoits.
