Purification Drive of Electoral Rolls from March 1

New Delhi, Feb 15 (IANS) The Election Commission will start "authentication and purification drive" of the electoral rolls from March 1, it was announced Sunday.

Chief Election Commissioner H.S. Brahma made the announcement while inaugurating a workshop on linking of Aadhaar with electoral roll database in Hyderabad Saturday, a statement issued here said.

He asked all officers to come up with suitable action plan to expedite the mission so that it could be completed by Aug 15 this year.
