Rahul angry with ED: read documents for two hours before signing, got words with two meanings changed; Then asked why are you bothering by calling again and again

ED questioned Rahul Gandhi for the second consecutive day on Tuesday in the National Herald case. 40 questions were asked in the first round of 8 hours. During this, Rahul expressed his displeasure and told the officers that all the questions to be asked, ask them today, and do not disturb by calling them again and again.

 

It took more than two hours for Rahul to come out after the interrogation was over on both days. In fact, before signing the document of the statement, Rahul read it carefully and objected to the words which had two meanings. He signed it when ED changed those words.

 

Expressing displeasure, Rahul also told the ED officers- Our workers are getting upset due to repeated calls for questioning and you are looking outside to see what is going on. Rahul has been questioned for 17 hours in two days so far.

 

Rahul did not answer many questions

 

According to sources, on Monday, the ED officials asked for more information about the questions that Rahul had evaded answering. The officials asked how much money is deposited in foreign accounts, in which banks in the country, in which banks are their accounts, and where are the land and properties in the country or abroad. Rahul was also questioned regarding his income tax return. It is said that Rahul could not answer many questions.

 

Mask removed after an hour's inquiry

 

During the interrogation of Rahul Gandhi, the same three ED people were present, who had questioned him on Monday. The question-and-answer session began, about an hour later, Rahul Gandhi removed his mask to drink water and then put it back on. At the request of ED officials for tea and coffee, Rahul refused to say thanks.

 

Anger over misbehavior with workers

 

Senior Congress leaders and workers took to the streets when Rahul Gandhi was called for questioning for the second day as well. They created a ruckus and protested against the government and the ED. During this, the party's national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala suffered serious injuries. P Chidambaram suffered a fracture in his ribs on Monday. On this, Rahul Gandhi expressed his displeasure. Rahul Gandhi said that not only he, but every Congress worker is ready to face ED.

During the lunch break, Rahul reached his bungalow on Tughlaq Road. After that, he again joined the investigation by reaching the ED office at 4 pm. According to sources, the ED officials also demanded some documents from Rahul Gandhi. On Monday, during the lunch break, Rahul went to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where he met Sonia Gandhi, and then returned to the ED office.
