
New Delhi, Jan 14 (IANS) It was a rainy Wednesday morning here, with the minimum temperature settling at 11 degrees Celsius - three notches above the season's average. Officials said 60 trains were delayed due to fog.
According the Northern Railway, 56 trains coming to the city were delayed while the departure time of four trains was rescheduled. Another three trains were cancelled.
"The day will be partly cloudy and light rain or thundershowers may occur in some areas," an India Meteorological Department official said.
There was moderate fog in the morning with the visibility dropping to 400 metres at 8.30 a.m.
The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 17 degrees Celsius.
The city received 0.5 mm of rainfall till 8.30 a.m. Wednesday.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 90 percent.
Tuesday's minimum temperature settled four notches below the season's average at 4 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature settled two levels below the season's average at 18.3 degrees Celsius.
