There is good news for the world struggling with the increasing population. The world population is going to decrease in the next century. A recent study has estimated that the total population of the Earth will reach its peak by reaching 9.7 billion in the year 2064. After this, in the year 2100, it will come down to 8.79 billion. According to this report in the Lancet Medical Journal, by the end of the century, there will be a reduction of 29 crore people in India.

In China, which is rapidly aging, by the year 2100, half the population will have decreased. There is estimated to be a population of only 74 crores, down from 668 crores to 140 crores at present. The University of Washington has said that the trend of a declining population will not be changed. This claim is contrary to the United Nations (UN) estimate that by the year 2100, the world's population will reach 11 billion. At present, the world population is less than 8 billion. China, India, America, and Pakistan are the most populated countries.

Urbanization, women's education also changes

Experts attribute the decline in population to urbanization as well as better access to women's education, work, and birth control tools. In 1960, a woman gave birth to an average of 5.2 children worldwide. Today the figure has reached 2.4 children. By the year 2100, it will reach 1.66.

The population will increase in Africa, it will decrease in Europe, America

The report says that populations in Asia and South America will begin to decline, like in Europe. Although the population in Africa will continue to grow, the rate of growth will be slow. Nigeria has the potential to grow to 58 million people.
