Rajasthan: Governor speaks to CM Gehlot in case of death of priest, know what said

Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra spoke to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot about the law and order of the state after the incident of rape in Barmer and the alleged burning of a priest in Karauli. The family members have refused to perform the last rites of the mortal remains and have made some demands before the Ashok Gehlot government of Rajasthan. Lalit, a relative of priest Babulal, told news agency ANI that we want Rs 50 lakh compensation and a family member gets a government job. All the accused should be arrested and action should be taken against the Patwari and the policemen who supported the accused. The family of the priest should also get protection.

What was the matter

According to police, the incident is from Bukna village in Saporta. On Wednesday there, a temple priest Babu Lal Vaishnav was attacked by five people. It is alleged that these people, trying to occupy the cultivated land near the temple, opened fire on the priest by spraying petrol.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said in a tweet that the killing of Babulal Vaishnav in Sapotra is extremely unfortunate and malicious, such acts have no place in a civilized society. According to the police, before he died, the priest had told the police that Kailash Meena along with his companions Shankar, Namo, Kishan, and Ramlakhan were occupying the temple enclosure and covering thatch. When I protested, put petrol and set it on fire. My family lives by cultivating 15 bighas of land in the temple.

How the dispute started:

Babulal Vaishnav worshiped in the old Radhakrishna temple of Bukna village in Sapotra tehsil. The villagers donated the cultivated land for the temple, which is recorded in the temple apology in the revenue records. About a month ago some people started trying to occupy the land. The priest had complained about this. 4-5 days ago there were meetings of 100 houses in the village, in which the Panchas supported the priest.

BJP state president Satish Poonia targeted the state government over the incident. On the other hand, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said that this incident is condemnable and said that the Congress government of the state should bring immediate justice to the family by giving strict punishment to the culprits.
