In September last year, farmers' protest around the national capital Delhi has been going on for more than six months against three new agricultural reform laws passed by Parliament. Despite the efforts of the government to give them a lot of respect, these people are adamant about their insistence. Here, Rakesh Tikait, spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union has expressed the hope that before the year 2024, the Government of India will agree and these three agricultural laws will be withdrawn.
'The public will tell what will be the effect in 2022'
Talking to news agency ANI, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said on Wednesday that the public will tell when the elections come, what will be the effect in 2022. He said that money is due to sugarcane farmers in Uttar Pradesh. Tikait said- Corona is big according to me, but according to the government, the laws are big.
He further said that the public will give their answer to the government. Tikait said that there is no party government in Gujarat, there is a police government there. Similarly, there will be a police government in Uttar Pradesh too.
'The movement will continue
Asking the question, the spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union said that the movement will go on now. If we are fake farmers then who is the right farmer? He said that the farmers' movement is having a big impact on the elections held in Uttar Pradesh. Significantly, next year, assembly elections are to be held in five states including UP and Punjab. In such a situation, the indication of Rakesh Tikait is in these states.
