Why not tie Rakhi on the 11th day?
Some people believe that on August 11, Bhadra will remain in Hades. Which will not have any inauspicious effect on the earth. So you can do Rakshabandhan for the whole day. But the Vidvat Parishad says that there is no mention of this in any text or Purana. At the same time, the sages have told inauspicious to do Rakshabandhan and Holika Dahan during the entire Bhadra period.
