Veteran industrialist and honorary head of Tata Sons, Ratan Tata is no more. He breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Ratan Tata not only took the Tata Group to great heights but also did many such historic works, due to which the world will always remember him. During the Corona pandemic, our country was struggling with health crises. At that time, the Tata Group donated Rs 1500 crore to help the country. Tata Trust spokesperson Devashish Rai says that under normal circumstances, the trust spends about 1200 crore annually for charity.

 

When the car worth lakhs of rupees was launched

 

Every common man in the country wishes to have a car. To fulfill this dream of the common man, Nano Car was launched by Tata Motors in the year 2008. The price of this car was kept at around 1 lakh.

 

Needy students get scholarships.

The Tata Group has always been at the forefront of helping students struggling with financial difficulties. The trust gives scholarships to such needy students. Students are given J.N. Tata Endowment, Sir Ratan Tata Scholarship, and Tata Scholarship.

 

The Tata Education and Development Trust provided a Tata Scholarship Fund of $28 million, allowing Cornell University to provide financial assistance to graduate students in India. The annual scholarship helped about 20 students at a time.

 

The Tata Group has always focused on healthcare.

Tata Group companies and Tata Charities donated $50 million to Harvard Business School (HBS) in 2010 for the construction of an executive center.

 

In the 1970s, he initiated the Aga Khan Hospital and Medical College project, which laid the foundation for one of India's leading healthcare institutions.

 

The Tata Group loaned $950 million to the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 2014 and created the Tata Centre for Technology and Design (TCTD). This was the largest donation ever received in the history of the institute.
