The CBI has become active in the investigation of allegations of targeting the recovery of 100 crore imposed on former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. The CBI team will reach Mumbai today and interrogate former police commissioner Param Bir Singh. The Bombay High Court on Monday ordered a CBI inquiry into the matter. Deshmukh resigned a few hours later. He met senior Congress leader and lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi late on Monday night. It is believed that they can appeal against the CBI investigation in the Supreme Court.

CBI team to lead ACB-handled Abhishek Dular

A CBI team is scheduled to reach Mumbai in a few minutes. The team is headed by Abhishek Dular, a 2006 batch IPS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre. It is believed that the team will first record Parambir Singh's statement. Dular, who has done electronic engineering from IIT Delhi, has also handled the State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau. He has been the Superintendent of Police of Shimla, Mandi, and Kullu. He has been entrusted with the responsibility of this case only because of his work in the Vision Department.

CBI can ask Parambir this 10 questions

1. When and how did you get information about the recovery of 100 crores, tell it in detail?

2. When Sachin Vazh was exposed, what was the first step you took?

3. Did you try to stop this recovery case or not? Why did you not file any FIR or complaint?

4. On what basis was Sachin Waze restored after being suspended for 16 years? What was your role in it?

5. Despite being a senior in the crime branch, why was he made the head of CIU?

6. Why did you report it directly to me, bypassing the protocol rule?

7. You handed over almost all the important matters to them immediately after joining them?

8. Despite being an Assistant Police Inspector, you never doubted my influence?

9. After getting the information about the Antilia case, why was Sachin Vazh handed over the investigation despite not having jurisdiction?

10. Was any political person pressured to give special power to Sachin Vazh?

Dilip Patil will take charge today

Dilip Valse Patil will now be the new Home Minister of the state in place of Anil Deshmukh. He will soon take over as Home Minister. On Monday evening, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had written a letter to the Governor recommending the resignation of Deshmukh, which has been approved by the Governor.

NCP did not want Deshmukh's resignation

Following Deshmukh's resignation, questions are being raised over the lack of coordination in the Mahavikas Aghadi government. It is being said that Shiv Sena was seeking Deshmukh's resignation from a long time ago, but under the pressure of NCP, CM was not taking any drastic step. However, since the inquiry committee was constituted under the chairmanship of a retired judge, it was believed that the Shiv Sena wanted Deshmukh's resignation.

On the other hand, the NCP wanted to replace his ministry with immediate action against Deshmukh, but after the High Court order of CBI investigation, CM Thackeray asked for a copy of the Judgment and indicated that he could take action in the matter soon. Only after this, Deshmukh is believed to have resigned.

Congress involved in the coalition also annoyed

The Congress, which is an ally in Maha Vikas Aghadi, is also unhappy with the political arrogance and lack of preference for itself. A senior Congress leader said on the entire development, 'This is a three-party government. Whatever happens, all partners will have to bear the consequences. However, the Vazhe-Deshmukh dispute is being considered as a matter of NCP. The NCP consulted the CM as he had to, but he did not bother to know our opinion. If it is a political battle, then the three parties will have to fight together. With the resignation of Deshmukh, it is difficult to end the problems of MVA, rather it will increase further.
