The government says that a family of four in Germany consumes 20,000 kWh of gas every year. In this way, at present, a family spends 3568 euros or about 4 lakh rupees annually on gas. Now after the new decision, there will be an increase of 13 percent in this expenditure. This simply means that the people here will have to lose more pockets for gas.
Germany's gas importer is in trouble
The government has also said that the German government has taken this decision to give relief to other companies including the gas importer company Uniper. The new decision will come into effect from 1st August and will remain the same till April 2024. Here, steel group WV Stahl has said that the company is spending an additional 7 billion euros on the company even before gas prices go up. Now 500 million euros will be added to this.
