It has been a tradition to invite foreign chief guests on the occasion of Republic Day. This time, on the occasion of the Republic Day program to be held on 26 January 2023, the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, will be included as the chief guest. It may be noted that due to Kovid, no chief guest was invited for two years. However, after two years, this time the President of Egypt will grace the Republic Day celebrations.

Online purchase of tickets for the Republic Day event has started from January 6. At the same time, from January 9, people can buy their tickets in person at the ticket counters. Tickets for the Republic Day Parade can be purchased online through the web portal of the Ministry of Defense www.amantran.gov.in.
This year, the Government of India has set up an online portal aamantran.mod.gov.in for people to book Republic Day tickets online.

Register yourself by entering personal details like name, father's/husband's name, date of birth, mobile number, and permanent address.
Go to the login page.
Enter your registered mobile number.
Verify captcha.
Click on 'Request OTP'.
Enter the OTP that you will receive on your mobile number through a text message.
Select the Republic Day event you want to participate in.
Enter all the required details of the attendees.
Upload a valid ID proof.
Complete payment and buy tickets.

Following are some important details about the Republic Day 2023 parade and tickets that people must know.
One registered mobile number can be used to book 10 tickets only.
Each Republic Day ticket will have a QR code which will be scanned by the security personnel at the Republic Day parade venue.
Republic Day tickets cost Rs 20, 100, and 500, depending on the type of event you want to attend.
Apart from the online portal, Republic Day tickets can be bought offline from Sena Bhawan Gate No. 2, Shastri Bhawan Gate No. 3, Main Gate Jantar Mantar, and Gate No. 1 Pragati Maidan.
Republic Day tickets will be available from 9 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
