
The West Bengal government has extended the restrictions implemented to deal with the Corona crisis in the state till July 1. Talking to the media on Monday, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced to increase the restrictions. Announcing the increase in restrictions, Mamta Banerjee said that government and private institutions will open with 25 percent capacity. Mamta Banerjee said, 'All government offices will work with the presence of 25 percent employees. Apart from this, all private and corporate offices will also work with 25 percent capacity.
Even though the government has extended the restrictions till July 1, it has also given some reliefs. Now shopping malls and complexes will be able to open from 11 am to 6 pm. However, there will be a presence of only 50 percent of the workforce. Apart from this, it has been decided to start sports activities as well, but there will be no presence of spectators. During this, all educational institutions, waterways will remain closed in the state. Not only this, apart from emergency needs, the movement of private vehicles will also be banned. Let us inform you that in the last 24 hours, 1,403 new cases have been found in West Bengal.
There are still 17,651 active cases in the state. West Bengal is one of the few states in the country, where more than 1,000 new cases are still being received every day. However, for the past month, there has been a steady decline in new cases. Exactly a month ago, on May 13 itself, there were around 80,000 active cases of corona in Bengal. If we look at this point of view, there has been a decrease of up to 80 percent in it.
