After minor roles in Gangubai Kathiawadi and RRR, Ajay Devgn is now coming up with the full film Runway 34, which releases in theaters on the 29th of this month. This is Ajay's first film in the year 2022 with the lead role.

The film is also special because Ajay's directorial skills will come to the fore once again. This is Ajay's third film as a director. He made his directorial debut with U Me Aur Hum and then directed Shivaay, which came in 2016. What was it in the story of Runway 34 that Ajay agreed to direct the film?

Make some changes in the script in the first place

In answer to this question, Ajay tells the whole story. Says Ajay- “Two years back, it must have been a month since Pandemic started, when everything had stopped, writer duo Sandeep Kewalani and Amil Kiyan Khan came to tell me the script of Runway 34. I liked the script but wanted some changes. As promised, he worked on it during the lockdown and came back to me with a change.

The thrill will be in the first part of the film

Ajay says- "I liked what I heard. Its story is inspired by true events and he made some changes to make it big screen. In the first part, the thrill is the thrill, that the audience is going to enjoy. Each of us will feel the turbulence and the feeling of emptiness in our stomachs when the flight hits the air. I can't tell you much, as it is a thriller and one should enjoy it on its own. Talking about the script, Sandeep and Amil added excitement and drama to it.

Shooting started as soon as the lockdown was relaxed

Ajay further said- "We worked on the script for the next four months with my inputs. I was happy and completely satisfied with the shape the script took. After that, I decided that this would be my third directorial film. Then in December 2020, as soon as the lockdown was relaxed, we started shooting by launching the film. I am proud of this film." Runway 34 will be released in theaters on 29 April on the occasion of Eid.
