Russia set to launch another vaccine EpiVacCorona, expected to complete the trial in September and production from October

Russia will soon launch another vaccine. It is claimed that after applying the first vaccine, the side effects that were seen in people, the dose of the new vaccine will not happen. The drugs used in the vaccine have been sourced from Russia's Top Secret plant. Drugs are sourced from the Soviet Biological Weapons Research Plant of Siberia.

 

The vaccine is named EpiVacCorona. Its trial will be completed in September. Recently Russia launched the world's first Covid-19 vaccine 'Sputnik-V'. It was prepared by the Russian Ministry of Defense and Gamalaya Research Center. This vaccine has been in the great controversy.

 

Claim - no side effects were seen

The first trial of EpiVacCorona, Russia's second vaccine, has been done on 57 volunteers. Scientists claim that volunteers were admitted to the hospital for 23 days. He was examined during the trial. No side effects have been seen in the trials conducted so far.

 

Registration in October and production preparation in November

The goal of the vaccine was to look for immune responses. For this, two doses of vaccine were given to volunteers in 14 to 21 days. Russia hopes that the vaccine can be registered by October and production will begin in November.

 

This vaccine is designed in collaboration with the Vectors State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology. It is one of the two leading institutions in the world that has the largest stock of chickenpox vaccines. The second institute is in the US.

 

Worked on 13 vaccines of Corona

The Soviet Biological Weapons Research Plant and the Vectors Research Center have jointly worked on 13 vaccines of coronavirus so far. Their testing was done on animals. The smallpox vaccine was developed industrially in association with the Vector Research Center. In the last few years, Russia, along with this institution, produced antidotes of bubonic plague, Ebola, Hepatitis-B, HIV, SARS, and cancer.

 

5 major controversies of Russia's first vaccine 'Sputnik-V'

Russia registered the world's first Covid-19 vaccine on August 11. It was in a lot of controversy as it was launched even before the Phase III trial was completed. There were many controversies in its name.

 

First: The first and third stages of Russia's first vaccine 'Sputnik-V' did not release information and detailed data.

 

Second: the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines were not followed during the trial. The WHO described the vaccine as dangerous.

 

Third: Russia claimed that those who got the vaccine did not see side effects. While registration documents show, the vaccine was given to only 38 volunteers. There were 144 such side effects.

 

Fourth: Volunteers show side effects like fever, body pain, increased body temperature, itching, and swelling where injected. Apart from this, side effects such as lack of energy in the body, loss of appetite, headache, diarrhea, sore throat, runny nose were common.

 

Fifth: The Russian government and the vaccine preparation institute made separate statements. The government said the trial showed no side effects. Gamalaya National Research Center, which prepares the vaccine, said that fever may come, but it can be cured by giving paracetamol tablets.
