Russian President Putin expressed grief over the Morbi Bridge accident, and wished the injured a speedy recovery

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the bridge accident in Gujarat's Morbi city. So far 134 people have died in this accident. In a message to President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi published on the Kremlin website on Monday, Putin said, "Honorable President, Honorable Prime Minister, please accept my condolences on the tragic bridge accident in the state of Gujarat."

 

According to a Russian news agency TASS, Putin expressed sympathy and support to the loved ones and friends of the victims who lost their lives in the accident. He also wished a speedy recovery of all the injured. At the same time, Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov also condoled the incident. He said, 'Yesterday there was a tragedy in Morbi! My deepest condolences to the families of those who died, Prime Minister Modi, and all the people of India and Gujarat! I wish the injured a speedy recovery!'

Nepal's Prime Minister expressed condolences

Nepal's Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has also expressed condolences over the bridge accident in Morbi. PM Deuba said, 'I am deeply saddened by the bridge accident in Morbi, Gujarat. We express our heartfelt condolences to the Government of India and the people of India for the loss of precious lives in this accident. Our condolences and prayers are with the bereaved families.

 

PM Modi will visit Morbi on Tuesday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Morbi on Tuesday. Modi, who is currently visiting Gujarat, paid homage to those killed in the bridge collapse incident. He said I am in Kevadiya but my mind is connected with the people who died in the Morbi bridge accident. The Prime Minister said that artists from across the country were supposed to perform the traditional dance in Kevadiya, but it has been canceled because of the prevailing situation.
