To win the hearts of half the population i.e. women in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, BJP has adopted a new strategy this time. She wants to enter the hearts of people through sarees. Photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath are being printed on sarees. This is the first time that the Modi-Yogi pair is seen on sarees. BJP slogans have also been printed on them. This has not been seen anywhere in the last elections.

So far, orders have been booked for about 50 thousand such sarees from 4 cities of UP, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi. Two traders of Gorakhpur and Kanpur doing business in Surat are sending one lakh saris without any order through their traders doing business in 40 districts of UP. All these sarees are being made in Surat because the cheapest sarees in the country are made there. It is being told that orders are going to be received for two lakh sarees in a day or two.

Big works of Modi government print on sarees

In the sarees, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Ayodhya Ram Mandir, Yogi-Modi's photo, BJP, and Hindutva slogans are written with lotus flowers. There is a plan to distribute these sarees in UP. Most of the designs of sarees are 3D printed. We will bring those who have brought Ram…Slogans are also printed on them. Such sarees are also available at sari showrooms in Meerut, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Gorakhpur.

Meerut shopkeeper Nimit Jain says – We have shown samples to some people. As soon as orders are received and will start ordering sarees. Sari trader Rajiv Kumar of Kanpur also does manufacturing in Surat. They are also making saris with pictures of Modi-Yogi. Rajeev says – I am sending these saris as a gift to all the traders and acquaintances.

200 rupees to 500 rupees cost

Presently 20 to 24 manufacturers are busy fulfilling these orders in Surat. The cost of making these election sarees ranges from Rs 200 to Rs 500. If seen according to the market, then they are priced from Rs.1000 to Rs.2,500.

Elections erased the recession of Corona

These Wet Lace Sarees are being made from Rinal, Tarki, Chanderi, and Silk Crepe Material. It is very attractive and quality. Along with this, there is a lot of demand for caps, coats, and flags. With election day approaching, their demand is likely to increase further. In the first phase, BJP plans to distribute these saris among its workers. Due to the Corona period, there is an atmosphere of recession in the textile industry of Surat. But, there is a wave of happiness among the traders due to the orders from the political parties for the elections.

Most orders from UP

Manohar Sihag, a Surat-based sari maker, explains – Whenever elections are held in a state, the textile mills of Surat start receiving orders for election materials made from cloth. However, elections are held in five states. In UP, the focus is only on Modi and Yogi. That is why the demand for items with their symbols is high. Production is happening on a large scale here.

Orders being given by BJP and its supporters

UP BJP and their supporters are giving orders to the textile traders of Surat. Textile trader Lalit Sharma says – Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, and Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh are getting the maximum orders. Inquiries are also being done over the phone from other cities. The demand will increase in the coming time.

Orders will be completed in 10 to 15 days

Another textile trader Piyush Patel told that the sarees made in Surat are very popular in the country. The specialty here is that from the cheapest to the most expensive sarees are made here. At present, due to the election environment, there is a demand for sarees with pictures of Yogi and Modi. We are fulfilling all the orders that are being received on time. All orders received from Uttar Pradesh, we will fulfill them in the next 10 to 15 days. This will also give impetus to the textile industry.
