
According to information, someone pelted stones when the train reached between Durg and Bhilai stations under the Raipur division of South East Central Railway (SECR) on Wednesday evening. The stone hit the window of the E-1 coach and it got damaged. Immediately after the incident, it was informed to RPF. After which the jawans reached the spot. This semi-high-speed train was coming from Nagpur to Bilaspur.
Railway officials said that the Railway Protection Force has started an investigation into the matter. Prima facie, some mischievous element is involved in this. The Vande Bharat Express train between Nagpur in Maharashtra and Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh is the sixth service in the country. It was launched by Prime Minister Modi on December 11 in Nagpur. Since then this train is running six days a week except for Saturday.

The train has 16 coaches which include 14 chair cars and 2 executive chair cars. The total seating capacity is 1128.
