The newly appointed Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif has taken a big decision on the very first day of assuming power. He has abolished the rule of two days weekly leave for all government employees of Pakistan. Government employees in the country will now get one day off. Apart from this, the office timings will also start from 8 am instead of 10 am. Government sources in Pakistan say that their decision is an attempt to get the country out of the economic crisis. Shahbaz Sharif reached the PM's office at 8 am, while the employees have been reaching only at 10 am.
There was a stir among the employees when Shahbaz Sharif reached the PM's office at 8 o'clock. Along with this, he announced that from now onwards the same timing will remain for all the employees. Apart from this, he said that now only Sunday will be a weekly holiday. Radio Pakistan said, 'We have come to serve the public and not a single minute should be wasted in such a situation.' However, Shahbaz Sharif has also given some relief to the employees on this occasion. He announced to increase in the pension for the employees and raised the minimum wage to Rs 25,000.
Apart from this, Shahbaz Sharif called a meeting of economic experts on the very first day of becoming PM. During this, he sought suggestions regarding measures to deal with the economic crisis facing the country. Meanwhile, discussions are also going on regarding Shahbaz Sharif's cabinet. So far no announcement has been made in this regard, but Pakistani media says that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari can be made foreign minister. Apart from this, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Rana Sanullah can be made Home Minister and Maryam Nawaz as Information and Broadcasting Minister.
According to sources, the names of Shahbaz Sharif's cabinet can be decided by this evening. Shahbaz Sharif, who replaced Imran Khan as PM, has a reputation in Pakistan as an efficient administrator. He has been the longest CM of Punjab. His elder brother Nawaz Sharif has been the Prime Minister of Pakistan thrice. It is being said that he can return home after Eid.
