Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has warned of a food shortage in the country. He said that till the next sowing season, we will arrange enough fertilizers to increase the yield of the crops. So that the food demand for the 22 million (22 million) population of the country can be met. In April last year, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa banned all chemical fertilizers. This decision resulted in a huge reduction in crop yields. Later the government withdrew its decision, but by then it was too late.
