Russia's state news agency RIA Novosti quoted the ministry as saying, on Friday, 500 more Ukrainian fighters hiding in Azhovstal laid down their arms before Russia. In this way, 2,439 Ukrainian fighters surrendered to Russian troops from Monday to Friday. However, so far there has been no statement from Ukraine in this regard. So far more than 20 thousand Ukrainian civilians are feared to have died in this war.
