The aviation industry has suffered a major setback due to travel restrictions due to the Covid-19 crisis. The company can also remove more people from the job. America's largest manufacturing company will lay off 6,770 American employees this week. Apart from this, 5,520 employees have opted for voluntary retirement. Boeing had announced that it would cut its workforce by 10 percent. The total workforce of the company is around 160,000.

 

Companies have started retrenching employees due to Coronavirus Pandemic and its prevention has affected businesses due to lockdown. Bengaluru-based startup Livespace has laid off 15 percent of the workforce, or 450 people. The company took this decision only last week. At the same time, Rico Auto Industries, which manufactures auto parts, fired 119 permanent employees of the Dharuhera plant in Haryana on 22 May.

Rolls-Royce, the manufacturer of the aerospace engine, has cut about 9,000 jobs worldwide due to a sharp decline in air travel due to the Corona virus epidemic. There are a total of 52,000 employees in the company and it is not yet clear where this deduction will be made. Company chief executive Warren East said that in this unpredictable time, difficult decisions have to be taken to handle the company.
