According to PRO Defence, the District Collector of Chikballabhpur approached Air Force Station Yelahanka with an SOS message that a young trekker had slipped and fell 300 feet at Brahmagiri Rocks in Nandi Hills. Thereafter, the IAF immediately launched a Mi 17 helicopter and after a thorough search rescued the trapped student.
The rescue operation lasted for 5 hours
According to the information received, even after the help of the helicopter, it took about 5 hours to save Nishank. The IAF along with the local police completed the operation. Please tell that after saving the student safely, he was given medical treatment, after which he was admitted to the civil hospital.
