The chiefs of the three services are also present along with President Ram Nath Kovind. During this, President Ram Nath Kovind was given the Guard of Honor at the 12th President's Fleet Review Program.

President Ram Nath Kovind boarded the Navy's indigenously built offshore patrol vessel INS Sumitra. This was followed by a 21-gun salute by the Eastern Naval Command during the 12th edition of the Presidential Fleet Review. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is also present on this occasion.

The 12th President's Fleet Review has a special significance in that it is being celebrated across the country as 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India's independence. The President will board the Navy's indigenously built offshore patrol vessel INS Sumitra. Specially designated as the 'President Yacht', he will review all the ships participating in the program through a 'steaming past'. Who is standing in four rows on the Visakhapatnam coast? The review will have a combination of ships from the Indian Navy as well as the Coast Guard. Ships from SCI and the Ministry of Earth Sciences will also participate.

Apart from this, the President will also review the Indian Naval Air Branch in a spectacular fly-past display by several helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Along with this, there will be a parade at sea, a search and rescue demonstration, aerobatics by Hawk Aircraft, and Water Para Jump by Elite Marine Commandos (MARCOS).

After the review, a special first-day cover and a commemorative postage stamp will be released by the Hon'ble President in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of State for Communications Devusinh J. Chouhan. The ships at the anchorage will be ceremonially dressed with various naval flags in full majestic style during the day. They will be illuminated from sunset to midnight on 19 and 20 February 22, which can be seen by the citizens of Visakhapatnam from the beachfront. Let us tell you that this is the second time that Visakhapatnam will host the PFR. For the first time in 2006, the then President of India APJ Abdul Kalam reviewed the naval fleet in Visakhapatnam.
