Swine flu claims second life in Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 7 (IANS) A 39-year-old man became the second victim of swine flu in the national capital Tuesday, a health official said Wednesday.

"The patient died of swine flu Tuesday night," a senior official from the Delhi health department told IANS.

According to the health department, the patient was a resident of Faridabad in Haryana, and his samples tested positive at the National Centre for Disease Control.

The patient was admitted to the Deepak Memorial Hospital in east Delhi area last week.

This is the second death due to swine flu. Earlier, a 51-year-old woman died of swine flu Dec 26.
