The Uganda Cricket Association has shared a video on its X (formerly Twitter), in which Brian Masaba is giving information about his decision to leave the captaincy. Brian is saying that this was a decision that I had been thinking about for a long time. This is the proudest moment of my life, in which I not only got the opportunity to captain my country in the World Cup, but I have been carrying out this responsibility for the last 5 years. Due to this responsibility, I have learned a lot as a leader, which is going to be very important in my future life as well.

 

Brian Masaba equaled Rohit Sharma's record

 

With Brian Masaba resigning from the captaincy of the Ugandan team, he equaled the record of Indian captain Rohit Sharma as captain in T20 International. Brian Masaba holds the record of the second most successful captain in Men's T20 International. While captaining the Ugandan team in T20 International, he won 45 matches out of 60 matches. Rohit Sharma has done a similar feat while captaining India. Rohit Sharma has led India to victory 45 times while captaining a total of 57 matches in T20 International.
