In an interaction with the media, 82-year-old Ramesh Chouhan revealed why he chose Tata, a group, to sell his company while Reliance and Nestle were the ones to buy Bisleri. Big companies like had also expressed their desire.

 

 

According to Chauhane, handing over Bisleri to someone else was a difficult decision for him. But he had to take this decision as he does not have a successor to take it forward. His daughter is not interested in this business. Bisleri is the largest packaged drinking water company in India. Explaining the reason behind handing over the brand to Tata Group, he said, “I like the culture of Tata Group which respects honesty and values ​​of life.

 

That is why I chose the Tata Group to hand over my brand. Although other parties were also very interested in buying it. Praising the top executives of Tata Group, he said that they are good people, and I like them. Let us inform you that several meetings have taken place between Bisleri founder Ramesh Chauhan, Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran, and Tata Consumers CEO Sunil D'Souza in the past. At the same time, Chauhan also told that he does not want to take a minority stake in the company after Bisleri becomes a part of the Tata group.

 

According to him, what will he do with a minority stake when he is not even running the company? According to media reports, Chouhan said that the decision to hand over Bisleri to the Tata group was not taken keeping money in mind. I was anxious thinking about whether the company would find a business group that would take care of it the way I have. I built this brand and business with a lot of hard work and passion and it is now run by equally passionate people. Explain that in the financial year of 2023, the turnover of Bisleri has been estimated to be Rs 2500 crore. The company expects a profit of around Rs 220 crore.
