The situation on the border in eastern Ladakh is tense. After the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) was heavily armed, the Indian Army is also ready to give a befitting reply, since which the situation has remained tense. India has also increased its deployment of troops and weapons against China after it foiled a Chinese infiltration attempt in the Pangong Tso Lake area on the night of 29-30 August. People familiar with the matter gave this information.

A senior military official said that the Chinese army is in a completely aggressive mode to force the Indian Army or, to say, to break the morale of the army, and the Chinese army is also showing heavy weapons, making the situation in the Chushul region very tense. is. However, the Indian Army has also kept up to par with its weapons and has shown its aggressive stance to China at points both south of Pangong Tso and Rejang La by a special frontier force campaign.

In this way, if we look at the situation so far, both the forces are showing strength with weapons. The Indian Army is present with full force to counter any Chinese invasion along the 1597 km long Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh and thwart its infiltration attempts.

The Indian counter-offensive against the Chinese chest has ensured that Indian troops now dominate high-altitude areas along the Pangong Tso Lake near the LAC and have taken control of these areas. Not only this, now the Indian Army is sitting here and monitoring the Chinese activities. The high area of the skirmish is in the Indian territory across the LAC, but China claims it to be on its part. Sources said that a Special Operation Battalion was recently dispatched to the area. On the intervening night of 29-30 August, this battalion took over the highlands from China, where the Chinese troops were just a few hundred meters away.

Another senior military commander said that the situation was grim and the possibility of escalating tensions could not be ruled out as the Chinese Army was struggling to repel the Indian Army under Beijing's directive. At the moment, tensions between the two countries do not seem to be diminishing.

If Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi have a ministerial meeting on behalf of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Moscow, there seems to be an expectation of peace talks. Any further action by the Lekir PLA will put an end to this diplomatic initiative.

Earlier, Indian army spokesman Colonel Aman Anand told Somar that the Chinese army had made provocative military activity unilaterally on the intervening night of August 29 and 30 to change the status quo on the south bank of Pangong Tso, but Indian troops failed the attempt gave. The source said that the army has strengthened the deployment of troops and weapons at all strategic points located in the Pangong So area. Sources said that a large number of Chinese troops were marching towards the southern bank of Pangong lake which was intended to encroach on the said area but the Indian Army made a significant deployment to thwart the effort.

A violent skirmish took place between the two countries for the first time in the Galvan Valley on June 15, in which 20 Indian soldiers were martyred. China did not provide any information about its casualties, but according to the US intelligence report, 35 of its soldiers were killed. India and China have held seventy-five military and diplomatic talks in the last two and a half months but no concrete solution has been found on the East Ladakh case.
