The violent clash between the Indian and Chinese armies in the Galvan Valley of Ladakh has made the relationship between the two countries extremely tense. In this incident, 20 soldiers of the Indian Army have been martyred. At the same time, there are 43 casualties from China. There have been incidents of soldiers coming face-to-face between the two countries on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), but no major incident ever happened. The last bloody incident on the border between the two countries took place in 1975, in which 4 Indian soldiers were martyred.

The last bullet was fired in Tulung La

The last time there was any firing on the border of the two countries at Tulung La in Arunachal Pradesh in 1975. On the LAC, this action was done by China on October 20, 1975. Then a patrolling party of Assam Rifles went to patrol Tulung La on LAC.

The soldiers of the Chinese Army People's Liberation Army (PLA) were already ambushed there and they attacked the Indian soldiers. In this firing, 4 soldiers of India were martyred. Chinese troops crossed the LAC and entered the Indian border. However, China never accepted it and claimed that Indian soldiers had crossed the LAC and attacked the Chinese post.

After this incident, the situation on the border between the two countries went through a tense situation many times and it was felt that the two countries would come face to face but there was never any firing nor death of any soldier. However, there have often been small skirmishes between the two soldiers on the LAC which is more than 3000 km long.

Defeated China in 1967

In this bloody confrontation in Ladakh, 20 soldiers of India were martyred, while the Chinese army is also expected to suffer a lot of damage. Even though the last bullet was fired in 1975, such a large number of soldiers died in 1967, the last time after 5 years of the 1962 war.

In 1967, armies clashed several times between the two countries in Sikkim (erstwhile Kingdom of Sikkim) for 5 days. It is often called the Second India-China War. This confrontation took place in Nathu La. From 11 September to 15 September, the two armies met face to face several times and fired fiercely.

India then gave a befitting reply to China and drove out the Chinese troops. Just 5 years after the defeat in 1962, the Indian Army had destroyed the Chinese Army. In this confrontation, more than 80 soldiers of India were martyred, while about 400 soldiers of China were killed by Indian soldiers.
