Weather Updates Today: Orange alert for Idukki Dam in Kerala, snowfall in Himachal; Know Uttarakhand Weather

Weather Updates Today: The havoc of heavy rain is being seen in Kerala since yesterday. An orange alert has been issued for Idukki Dam in Kerala, while Himachal Pradesh has recorded snowfall today. The situation is that a large number of people have lost their lives due to floods and landslides. Armies are engaged to save the people. The rescue operation is on. People are facing a lot of problems. Seeing people's homes, they are drowning in the flow of heavy rain.

 

In Kottayam's Mundakayam, a house was washed away in the strong currents of the river after heavy rains. The water level of rivers has also increased. At the same time, there has been a sudden change in the weather in the capital Delhi-NCR since Sunday. The rain since last night has badly affected the normal life of the people. Everywhere is filled with water. At the same time, snowfall occurred in Himachal today.

 

The Dam Safety Authority in Kerala has issued an orange alert for the Idukki dam reservoir. A Blue alert has been issued for Idamalayar Reservoir, Ernakulam district and Red Alert has been issued for Kakki Reservoir, Pathanamthitta district.

 

Talking about the latest weather updates, light rain will continue in Hodal, Aurangabad, Palwal, Faridabad, Ballabgarh located in Haryana, while Bulandshahr, Gulothi located in UP will receive rain with moderate intensity. On the other hand, a red alert has been issued for rain in Uttarakhand today. Apart from this, there was snowfall in Dhankhar village of Lahaul-Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh today.

 

Due to the overnight rains in Delhi-NCR, water-logging has occurred in the office premises of Chief Medical Officer Gautam Budh Nagar, Sector 39. Apart from this, waterlogging was seen in Ghazipur Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Market in Delhi. On the other hand, there was heavy rain in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. IMD issued a 'Red Alert' for heavy rain today. Badrinath Yatra has also been stopped as a precaution.
